WHAT is tithing?

What is offering?

Tithing is the practice of returning 10% of our income to God. We give the first portion of our finances in order to recognize His authority over our lives and to advance the kingdom work of the church. (Leviticus 27:30)

An offering is a voluntary donation we might make to God in addition to our tithe. If I'm already tithing, why should I contribute an offering? Giving an offering is an act of financial adoration to God. (Proverbs 11:24)
